Parent Teachers Association (P.T.A)
PTA aims to derive maximum benefit from the teaching- learning process and for all-round development of a student admitted to diploma course. Now in colleges, PTA is playing a vital role in imparting quality education. It is an organization where all the parents and teachers have to participate on equal grounds. Under PTA’s patronage and whole hearted co-operation all developments within the academic and non-academic take place.
Generous allocation of PTA funds has helped the college with better facilities like new CAD lab, Advanced Welding lab, canteen renovation, new water tanks, computers, inverters and well furnished class rooms. Prizes and awards are given by the PTA for meritorious students.
In a general meeting of Parents and Teachers, PTA Executive members is elected every year in the beginning of academic session. The Executive body is entrusted to plan, execute and take necessary decisions for the overall development of the students and college.
Aim and Objectives
- To promote the welfare of students and the college.
- To create better understandings between parents and teachers and maintain harmonious relationship between the college and the external community.
- To work for the improvement of the college with the united efforts of parents, teachers and higher authorities.
- To help parents and students to adopt themselves to the changing concepts of society.
Membership
All the parents and teachers shall become members automatically. The Executive committee members are elected by the annual general body.
Funds
All the funds of the association will be deposited in the bank in the name of college PTA and account is operated by the Treasurer with the consent of Principal. All the funds will be utilized for the welfare of the students and to improve college facilities.
Major Activities During 2012 - 13
Last year a general body meeting and five executive committee meeting were conducted. Maximum PTA funds were utilized to improve the infrastructure facilities and other amenities of students. PTA is giving advances for all institutional activities when there will be delay in getting Govt. funds
- Canteen has been made open for students and completed cleaning activities inside the campus
- A new water tank has placed and all plumbing works done
- Wiring works inside the class and office completed.
- A new door has constructed for architecture department.
- Maintained CAD lab in Architecture department and Advanced Welding lab.
- Purchased consumables and materials for workshops and labs.
- Fixed an Institutional board .
- Given ID cards to all students.
- Prizes for toppers of last year.
