Polymer Technology
Department of Polymer Technology was started in 1994,offering Diploma in Polymer Technology; which deals with the study of synthesis, processing and testing of different Polymers and polymer products. The current strength of the department is one Head of Section, three Lecturers, two Demonstrators, two trade Instructors and two tradesmen.
The intake is forty four per year. Most of our alumnae are working in India and abroad in reputed firms. Realising the growing needs of Trained Technologist/Technician in Polymer Industries of various fields, an In-Plant training has been giving to the students in V Semester in reputed firms.
The department is well equipped with facilities for studying the rheological properties of Polymers, cure studies of rubber compounds and for conducting physical Testing of Polymer vulcanisates; Hence the department is able to provide Technical Consultancy services.
